Scheming

Scheming and malice are things that keep faith away. اَلْمَكْرُ والغُلُّ مُجانِبَا الإيمانِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Beware of scheming, for indeed scheming [and plotting] is a blameworthy quality. إيّاكَ والمَكْرَ، فَإنَّ الْمَكْرَ لَخُلْقٌ ذَميمٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Scheming is wickedness, deception is evil. اَلمَكْرُ لُؤْمٌ، اَلخَديعَةُ شُؤْمٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Scheming is the practice of the mutinous. اَلمَكْرُ شيمَةُ المَرَدَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Scheming is the trait of the wicked. اَلمَكْرُ سَجِيَّةُ اللِّئامِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Scheming against one who trusts in you is ingratitude [and betrayal]. اَلمَكْرُ بِمَنِ ائْتَمَنَكَ كُفْرٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The bane of cleverness is scheming. آفَةُ الذُّكاءِ اَلْمَكْرُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The cornerstone of wisdom is eschewing deceptions. رَأْسُ الحِكْمَةِ تَجَنُّبُ الخُدَعِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Many a plotter has been struck down by his own stratagem. رُبَّ مُحْتال صَرَعَتْهُ حيلَتُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
