Sickness is [a form of] confinement of the body.
اَلمَرَضُ حَبْسُ البَدَنِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
There are two things that should not be scorned: sickness and the poor relative.
شَيْئانِ لايُؤْنَفُ مِنْهُما: اَلمَرَضُ، وذُوالقَرابَةِ المُفْتَقِرِ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
One who hides his sickness from the physicians has betrayed his body.
مَنْ كَتَمَ الأطِبّاءَ مَرَضَهُ خانَ بَدَنَهُ۔

—غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
Whoever conceals his hidden ailment, his physician becomes incapable of curing him.
مَنْ كَتَمَ مَكْنُونَ دائِهِ عَجَزَ طَبيبُهُ عَنْ شِفائِهِ۔

Sickness in one of the two confinements.
