Gentleness And Softness

Through gentleness, the souls feel at ease. بِلينِ الجانِبِ تَأْنَسُ النُّفُوسُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Be soft without being weak and stern without using force. كُنْ لَيِّناً مِنْ غَيْرِ ضَعْف، شَديداً مِنْ غَيْرِ عُنْف۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One whose nature is gentle, loving him is unavoidable. مَنْ لانَتْ عَريكَتُهُ وَجَبَتْ مَحَبَّتُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One whose wood is soft, his branches become thick. مَنْ لانَ عُودُهُ كَثُفَتْ أغْصانُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who has a gentle demeanour makes his community’s love [for him] last. مَنْ تَلِنْ حاشِيَتُهُ يَسْتَدِمْ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ المَحَبَّةَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is not lenient with the one who is under him will not obtain what he requires. مَنْ لَمْ يَلِنْ لِمَنْ دُونَهُ لَمْ يَنَلْ حاجَتَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Make your demeanour gentle and humble yourself in front of Allah, He will elevate you. ألِنْ كَنَفَكَ وتَواضَعْ لِلّهِ يَرْفَعْكَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Make your demeanour gentle for indeed whoever has a gentle demeanour, his community’s love [for... ألِنْ كَنَفَكَ فَإنَّ مَنْ يُلِنْ كَنَفَهُ يَسْتَدِمْ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ المَحَبَّةَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
