Importunity

Importunity is an inviter of deprivation. اَلاْلْحاحُ داعِيَةُ الحِرْمانِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Importunity is enough as a [reason for] deprivation. كَفى بِالإلْحاحِ مَحْرَمَةً۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Excessive importunity leads to refusal. كَثْرَةُ الإلْحاحِ تُوجِبُ المَنْعَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The excessive importunity of a man leads to his deprivation. كَثْرَةُ إلْحاحِ الرَّجُلِ تُوجِبُ حِرْمانَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One whose importunity increases gets deprived. مَنْ كَثُرَ إلْحاحُهُ حُرِمَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is importunate in asking irritates [people]. مَنْ ألَحَّ فِي السُّؤالِ أبْرَمَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is importunate in asking gets deprived. مَنْ ألَحَّ فِي السُّؤالِ حُرِمَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is importunate in his asking invites his own deprivation. مَنْ ألَحَّ في سُؤالِهِ دَعا إلى حِرْمانِهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
