Restraint

Restraining yourself from that which others possess is one of the two generosities. اَلْكَفُّ عَمّا في أيْدِي النّاسِ أحَدُ السَّخائَيْنِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Verily restraint during the confusion of misguidance is better than embarking on terrors. إنَّ الكَفَّ عِنْدَ حَيْرَةِ الضَّلالِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ رُكُوبِ الأهْوالِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no piety like self-restraint. لاوَرَعَ كَالكَفِّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
