Ingratitude

Doing good to an ingrate is from the greatest of crimes. اِصْطِناعُ الكَفُورِ مِنْ أعْظَمِ الجُرْمِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Being ungrateful for a blessing causes it to be taken away and being thankful for it causes it to... كُفْرُ النِّعْمَةِ مُزيلُها وشُكْرُها مُسْتَديمُها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Ingratitude for blessings makes one stumble and strips away the blessings. كُفْرانُ النِّعَمِ يُزِلُّ القَدَمَ ويَسْلُبُ النِّعَمَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Ungratefulness for a blessing is vileness, and accompanying a fool is [a cause of] misfortune. كُفْرُالنِّعْمَةِ لُؤْمٌ، وصُحْبَةُ الأحْمَقِ شُؤْمٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Being ungrateful for a blessing is the cause of its removal. كُفْرُ النِّعْمَةِ مُزيلُها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The one who is unthankful for blessings is ungrateful for the bounty of Allah. كافِرُ النِّعْمَةِ كافِرُ فَضْلِ اللّهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Ingratitude for blessings is the thing that brings [divine] retribution. كُفْرُ النِّعَمِ مَجْلَبَةٌ لِحُلُولِ النِّقَمِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The one who is ungrateful for blessings is dispraised in the sight of the Creator and the creation. كافِرُ النِّعْمَةِ مَذْمُومٌ عِنْدَ الخالِقِ والخَلائِقِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Ingratitude for blessings is not a success [rather it is a failure]. لَيْسَ مِنَ التَّوْفيقِ كُفْرانُ النِّعَمِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no blessing with ingratitude. لانِعْمَةَ مََعَ كُفْر۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Verily ingratitude for blessings is vileness and accompanying the ignorant is [a cause of]... إنَّ كُفْرَ النِّعْمَةِ لُؤْمٌ ومُصاحَبَةَ الجاهِلِ شُؤْمٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Blessings are stripped away by ingratitude. اَلنِّعَمُ يَسْلُبُهَا الْكُفْرانُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The bane of blessings is ingratitude. آفَةُ النِّعَمِ الكُفْرانُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The cause of alteration [and removal] of blessings is ingratitude. سَبَبُ تَحَوُّلِ النِّعَمِ الكُفْرُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم In ungratefulness for blessings is [the cause of] its removal. في كُفْرِ النِّعَمِ زَوالُها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Whoever is ungrateful for blessings, [divine] retribution comes upon him. مَنْ كَفَرَ النِّعَمَ حَلَّتْ بِهِ النِّقَمُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
