Attaining Nearness To Allah

Attaining nearness to Allah is [achieved] by asking [from] Him and [gaining closeness] to the... التَّقَرُّبُ إلَى اللّهِ تَعالى بِمَسْئَلَتِهِ، وإلَى النّاسِ بِتَرْكِها۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Address your complaints to one who is capable of sufficing you. اِجْعَلْ شَكْواكَ إلى مَنْ يَقْدِرُ عَلى غِناكَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Seek nearness to Allah, the Glorified, for verily He brings closer those who seek nearness to Him. تَقَرَّبْ إلََى اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ فَإنَّهُ يُزْلِفُ المُتَقَرِّبينَ إلَيْهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Seek nearness to Allah, the Glorified, through prostration (sujūd), bowing (rukū’), submission... تَقَرَّبْ إلَى اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ بِالسُّجُودِ والرُّكُوعِ والخُضُوعِ لِعَظَمَتِهِ والخُشُوعِ(الخُنُوعِ)۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Nothing brings one closer to Allah, the Glorified, except copious prostration (sujūd) and bowing... لا يُقَرِّبُ مِنَ اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ إلاّ كَثْرَةُ السُّجُودِ والرُّكُوعِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
