Happiness And Joy

How many a joyful [person] has been driven by his joy towards perpetual sorrow. كَمْ مِنْ فَرَح أفْضى بِهِ فَرَحُهُ إلى حُزْن مُخَلَّد۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Do not be joyful about that which is coming [to you]. لا تَفْرَحْ بِما هُوَ آت۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Never be joyful about the downfall of others for verily you do not know what time will do to you. لاتَفْرَحَنَّ بِسَقْطَةِ غَيْرِكَ فَإنَّكَ لاتَدْري ما يُحْدِثُ بِكَ الزَّمانُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Do not be happy with the mistake of others, for indeed you will not always be correct. لاتَبْتَهِجَنَّ بِخَطاءِ غَيْرِكَ فَإنَّكَ لَنْ تَمْلِكَ الإصابَةَ أبَداً۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
