Deviation From The Right Path

The thing with the worst outcome is deviation [from the right path]. أسْوَءُ شَيْء عاقِبَةً الغَيُّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Deviation is insolence. اَلغَيُّ أشَرٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who deals offensively [with others] is dealt with in the same way. مَنْ عامَلَ بِالغَيِّ كُوفِيَ بِهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Woe be to the one who persists in his deviation and does not return to the right path. وَيْلٌ لِمَنْ تَمادى في غَيِّهِ، ولَمْ يَفِئْ إلَى الرُّشْدِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no piety with deviation. لاوَرَعَ مَعَ عَىّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
