Be cautious of being deceived by the delusion of a small hindrance or being made to stumble by the... اِحْذَرْ أنْ يَخْدَعَكَ (يَخْتَدِعَكَ)الغُرُورُ بِالحائِلِ اليَسيرِ، أوْ يَسْتَزِلَّكَ السُّرُورُ بِالزّائِلِ الحَقيرِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The consolidation of delusion is in sleeping with ease in the presence of the enemy. جِماعُ الغُرُورِ فِي الاِسْتِنامَةِ إلَى العَدُوِّ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Blessed be the one who has not been killed by the lethal poisons of deception. طُوبى لِمَنْ لَمْ تَقْتُلْهُ قاتِلاتُ الغُرُورِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم It is enough of a delusion for a person to trust all that his soul lures him towards. كَفى بِالمَرْءِ غُرُوراً أنْ يَثِقَ بِكُلِّ ما تُسَوِّلُ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم He (‘a) said about the one whom he praised: He has not been killed by the lethal poisons of... وقالَ عَلَيْهِ السّلامُ في حَقِّ مَنْ أثنى عَلَيْهِ: لَمْ تَقْتُلْهُ قاتِلاتُ الغُرُورِ، وَلَمْتُغَمَّ (وَلَمْ تُعَمَّ) عَلَيْهِ... Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم He who trusts in the falsehood of delusions and yearns for the false [and short-lived] joys has not... لَمْ يُفَكِّرْ في عَواقِبِ الأُمُورِ مَنْ وَثِقَ بِزُورِالغُرُورِ وصَبا إلى زُورِ السُّرُورِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is deluded by respite, is tormented by death. مَنِ اغْتَرَّ بِالمَهَلِ اِغْتَصَّ بِالأجَلِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Delusion is suffices as ignorance. كَفى بِالاِغْتِرارِ جَهْلاً۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is deluded by his condition, reduces his efforts. مَنِ اغْتَّرَ بِحالِهِ قَصَّرَ عَنِ احْتِيالِهِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is deluded by the peacefulness of the time gets distressed by the impact of calamities. مَنِ اغْتَرَّ بِمُسالَمَةِ الزَّمَنِ اِغْتَصَّ بِمُصادَمَةِ المِحَنِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم When a person persists in sinning and [still] expects to be forgiven, then he is under a delusion... مِنَ الغِرَّةِ بِاللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ أنْ يُصِرَّ المَرْءُ عَلَى المَعْصِيَةِ ويَتَمَنَّى المَغْفِرَةَ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no judiciousness with heedlessness. لاحَزْمَ مَعَ غِرَّة۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no heedlessness [and delusion] like reliance on the times. لاغِرَّةَ كَالثِّقَةِ بِالأيّامِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم A deluded person may [sometimes] remain unharmed. قَدْ يَسْلَمُ المُغَرَّرُ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم How many a person is deluded by the good that is spoken about him. كَمْ مِنْ مَغْرُور بِحُسْنِ القَوْلِ فيهِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم How many a person has been deluded by what is concealed from him. كَمْ مِنْ مَغْرُور بِالسِّتْرِ عَلَيْهِ۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Neither is every deluded person saved, nor is every seeker needy. لَيْسَ كُلُّ مَغْرُور بِناج، ولاكُلُّ طالِب بِمُحْتاج۔ Ghurar al-Hikam غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
