Descent And Lineage

One whose lineage is wicked, his presence [in any gathering] is bad. مَنْ خَبُثَ عُنْصُرُهُ ساءَ مَحْضَرُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One whose lineage is honourable, his presence is good. مَنْ كَرُمَ مَحْتِدُهُ حَسُنَ مَشْهَدُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Good manners are from the [signs of] honourable descent. مِنْ شَرَفِ الأعْراقِ كَرَمُ الأخْلاقِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
