Outcomes

For every matter there is an outcome, [be it] sweet or bitter. لِكُلِّ أمْر عاقِبَةٌ حُلْوَةٌ أوْ مُرَّةٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who expects [and considers] the outcomes remains safe. مَنِ انْتَظَرَ العَواقِبَ سَلِمَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who considers the outcomes remains safe. مَنْ نَظَرَ فِي العَواقِبِ سَلِمَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who considers the outcomes remains safe from calamities. مَنْ نَظَرَ فِي العَواقِبِ سَلِمَ مِنَ النَّوائِبِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is careful of the outcomes is safe from peril [and destruction]. مَنْ راقَبَ العَواقِبَ أمِنَ المَعاطِبَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who awaits a [positive] outcome is patient. مَنِ انْتَظَرَ العاقِبَةَ صَبَرَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who is careful of the outcomes remains safe from calamities. مَنْ راقَبَ العَواقِبَ سَلِمَ مِنَ النَّوائِبِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم When you endeavour to act upon a matter, then eschew the blameworthy outcomes in it. إذا هَمَمْتَ بِأمْر فَاجْتَنِبْ ذَميمَ العَواقِبِ فيهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Be careful of the outcomes and you will be saved from destruction. راقِبِ العَواقِبَ تَنْجُ مِنَ المَعاطِبِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم In the outcomes [of matters] there is [either] a curer or a comforter. فِي العَواقِبِ شاف أوْ مُريح۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The basis of [the success of] outcomes is that which results in the pleasure of Allah, the... مِلاكُ الخَواتِمِ ما أسْفَرَ عَنْ رِضَى اللّهِ سُبْحانَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
