Being Cheerful And Smiling

Cheerfulness is one of the two forms of hospitality. البَشاشَةُ أحَدُ القَرائَيْنِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is [a form of] kindness. اَلبَشاشَةُ إحْسانٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is a trap for [ensnaring] affection. اَلبَشاشَةُ حِبالَةُ المَوَدَّةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Adopt cheerfulness for it is indeed a trap for [ensnaring] affection. عَلَيكَ بِالبَشاشَةِ فَإنَّهُ حِبالَةُ المَوَدَّةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no cheerfulness with annoyance. لابَشاشَةَ مَعَ إبْرام۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness cools down the fire of opposition. اَلبِشْرُ يُطْفِئُ نارَ المُعانَدَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is the first gift [that can be given]. اَلبِشْرُ أوَّلُ النَّوالِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is the trait of the free. اَلبِشْرُ شيمَةُ الحُرِّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness makes companions affable. اَلبِشْرُ يُوْنِسُ الرِّفاقَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness renders goodness without any expense. اَلبِشْرُ إسْداءُ الصَّنيعَةِ بِغَيْرِ مَؤُنَة۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم By cheerfulness and keeping a smiling face, the act of giving becomes virtuous. بِالبِشْرِ وبَسْطِ الوَجْهِ يَحْسُنُ مَوْقِعُ البَذْلِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Your cheerfulness is your first righteous act and your promise is your first gift. بِشْرُكَ أوَّلُ بِرِّكَ ووَعْدُكَ أوَّلُ عَطائِكَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Your cheerfulness shows the nobility of your soul and your humility points to your righteous... بِشرُكَ يَدُلُّ على كَرَمِ نَفْسِكَ، وتَواضُعُكَ يُنْبِئُ عَنْ شريفِ خُلْقِكَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Being cheerful is the first gift and the easiest [form of] generosity. حُسْنُ البِشرِ أوَّلُ العَطاءِ، وأسْهَلُ السَّخاءِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is one of the two glad tidings. حُسْنُ البِشْر أحَدُ البِشارَتَيْنِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is the disposition of all those who are [truly] free. حُسْنُ البِشْرِ شيمَةُ كُلِّ حُرّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Being cheerful is one of the signs of success. حُسْنُ البِشْرِ مِنْ عَلائِمِ النَّجاحِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The cause of affection is cheerfulness. سَبَبُ المَحَبَّةِ ألبِشْرُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Smiling with cheerfulness, [practicing] benevolence, [performing] righteous actions and bestowing... طِلاقَةُ الوَجهِ بِالبِشرِ والعَطيَّةِ وفِعْلِ البِرِّ وبَذْلِ التَّحيَّةِ داع إلى مََحَبَّةِ البَريَّةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Increased cheerfulness is a sign of benevolence. كَثْرَةُ البِشرِ آيَةُ البَذْلِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم A cheerful face is better than a serious, frowning face. وَجْهٌ مُسْتَبْشِرٌ خَيْرٌ مِنْ قَطْوب مُؤثِر۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is one of the two gifts. اَلبِشْرُ أحَدُ العَطائَيْنِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is a delightful countenance and a radiant disposition. اَلبِشْرُ مَنْظَرٌ مُونِقٌ،وَ خُلْقٌ مُشْرِقٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Cheerfulness is kindness, frowning is meanness. اَلبِشرُ مَبَرَّةٌ، العُبُوسُ مَعَرَّةٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
