Haughtiness

Whoever is haughty with his brothers, nobody will be sincere with him. مَنِ اسْتَطالَ عَلَى الإخْوانِ لَمْ يَخْلُصْ لَهُ إنْسانٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Whoever is haughty with people because of his authority, his authority will get stripped away. مَنِ اسْتَطالَ عَلَى النّاسِ بِقُدْرَتِهِ سُلِبَ القُدْرَةُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Haughtiness is the language of error and ignorance. اَلاِسْتِطالَةُ لِسانُ الغِوايَةِ والجَهالَةِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Do not be haughty with the one whom you have not enslaved. لاتَسْتَطِلْ عَلى مَنْ لاتَسْتَرِقَّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
