Difficulties

Be patient in [the face of] difficulties and dignified in [times of] turbulent upheavals. كُنْ فِي الشَّدائِدِ صَبُوراً، وَ فِي الزَّلازِلِ وَقُوراً۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم It is for difficult times that [the friendships of important] men are preserved. لِلشَّدائِدِ تُدَّخَرُ الرِّجالُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم Be intent on [braving] difficulty when nothing will free you except difficulty. اِعْتَزِمْ (اِعْتَرِمْ) بِالشِدَّةِ حينَ لايُغْني عَنْكَ إلاَّ الشِدَّةُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
