The Treacherous

The treacherous person is one who busies himself with other than his self and his ‘today’ is... الخائِنُ مَنْ شَغَلَ نَفْسَهُ بِغَيرِ نَفْسِِهِ، وكانَ يَوْمُهُ شَرّاً مِنْ أمْسِهِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The enticer [towards deviance] and the treacherous one are alike. المُزيعُ والخائِنُ سَواءٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The treacherous person has no loyalty in him. اَلخائِنُ لا وَفاءَ لَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم From the signs of being forsaken [by Allah] is considering the treacherous to be trustworthy. مِنْ عَلاماتِ الخِذْلانِ ايتِمانُ الخُوّانِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
