The Spiteful

There is no brotherhood for the spiteful. لَيْسَ لِحَقُود أُخُوَّةٌ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One whose spite increases, his censure decreases. مَنْ كَثُرَ حِقْدُهُ قَلَّ عِتابُهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم One who sows hatred reaps tribulations. مَنْ زَرَعَ الإِحَنَ حَصَدَ المِحَنَ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم How miserable is the life of a spiteful person! ما أنْكَدَ عَيْشَ الحَقُودِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The spiteful person has no love. لا مَوَدَّةَ لِحَقُود۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم The spiteful one has a tormented soul is doubly distressed. اَلْحَقُودُ مُعَذَّبُ النَّفْسِ مُتَضاعِفُ الهَمِّ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم There is no repose for the spiteful. اَلحَقُودُ لاراحَةَ لَهُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
