Vocation

The vocation [one undertakes] is based on the extent of deprivation. عَلى قَدْرِ الحِرمانِ تَكُونُ الحِرْفَةُ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم A [simple] vocation with modesty is better than affluence with immorality. اَلْحِرفَةُ مَعَ العِفَّةِ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الغِنى مَعَ الفُجُورِ۔ —Ghurar al-Hikam —غُرَرُ الحِکَم و دُرَرُ الکَلِم
