Hadith #4816

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

Wastefulness is the symbol [and cause] of poverty.

The word "tabdheer" in Arabic refers to wastefulness or extravagance. It implies excessive spending or squandering resources without any regard for their value or importance. And do not make your hand [as] chained to your neck or extend it completely and [thereby] become blamed and insolvent.

In Surah Al-Furqan (25:67), Allah describes the righteous servants as those who

when they spend, they are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a just balance between those extremes.
