مَنْ فَوَّضَ أمْرَهُ إلَى اللّهِ سَدَّدَهُ۔
Whoever leaves his matter to Allah, He resolves it (for him).

(Ghurar al-Hikam: Leaving The Matter To Allah)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.
The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,
مَنْ فَوَّضَ أمْرَهُ إلَى اللّهِ سَدَّدَهُ۔
This can be translated as,
Whoever leaves his matter to Allah, He resolves it (for him).
This beautiful Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) highlights the importance of entrusting our affairs to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and relying on His guidance and wisdom.
The word (fawwada) "فَوَّضَ" in the Hadith means to entrust or hand over something to someone. In this context, it refers to entrusting our matters and affairs to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ), acknowledging His supreme knowledge and wisdom. By doing so, we acknowledge that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is the ultimate authority and the best resolver of our problems and difficulties.
This concept of entrusting our affairs to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is deeply rooted in the Quran. Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says in Surah Al-Imran (3:159),
So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].
This verse emphasizes the importance of seeking consultation and then relying on Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) in matters of decision-making.
Furthermore, in Surah Ash-Shura (42:38), Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) says,
And those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend.
This verse highlights the significance of consultation and seeking guidance from Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) in matters of importance.
Imam Ali's (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) statement serves as a reminder for us to place our trust in Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and surrender our affairs to His divine will. When we entrust our matters to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ), we acknowledge that He is the ultimate resolver of our problems and that His wisdom surpasses our limited understanding. This act of surrendering to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) brings about peace and tranquility in our hearts, knowing that He will guide us towards the best outcome.
By leaving our matters to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ), we free ourselves from the burden of excessive worry and anxiety. We recognize that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) is the All-Knowing and All-Wise, and He has the power to resolve our problems in the most beneficial and appropriate manner. This trust in Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) allows us to focus on taking practical steps and making efforts while relying on His guidance and support.
Imam Ali's (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) statement also serves as a reminder for us to have patience and perseverance in times of difficulty. When we entrust our matters to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ), we understand that the resolution may not come immediately or in the way we expect. However, we have faith that Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) will resolve our matters in the best possible manner and at the most appropriate time. This trust and patience strengthen our relationship with Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and deepen our understanding of His divine wisdom.
In conclusion, the Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) teaches us the importance of entrusting our matters to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) and relying on His guidance and wisdom. By doing so, we acknowledge His supreme knowledge and power, and we free ourselves from the burden of excessive worry and anxiety. This act of surrendering to Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) brings about peace and tranquility in our hearts, knowing that He will resolve our problems in the best possible manner. May Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ) grant us the ability to entrust our affairs to Him and seek His guidance in all aspects of our lives.
