Hadith #7450

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), his pure progeny, and his noble companions.

The Arabic Hadith of Imam Ali (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) states,

مَنْ كَتَمَ عِلْماً فَكَأنَّهُ جاهِلٌ۔

This Hadith emphasizes the importance of sharing knowledge and warns against concealing it. Let us delve into the connotation of this Hadith in light of the Quran.

The key word in this Hadith is (katama) "كَتَمَ", which means to hide, conceal, or keep secret. It refers to deliberately withholding knowledge or not sharing it with others.
